Colordle solver

Enter a guess and get the nearest named colors. The tool never reads the daily answer.

A Colordle solver is useful after a guess lands in the 60s or 70s and you need nearby names, not a fresh random try. This one searches the 31,907 color names, keeps a short list by CIE76 as a fast screen, then reorders that short list with CIEDE2000. The same CIEDE2000 percent is what the game prints.

Enter a name from the color list.

How to walk a percent upward

Start from your best guess on the board. Run it here. Try one of the neighbors in the game and keep the name that raises the percent. Sharma, Wu, and Dalal (2005) note that small delta E values track small visual differences, so once you are above the mid-90s you are usually one name away.

The daily answer is chosen from a smaller pool than the full guess list. Neighbors outside that pool can still be legal guesses, and they still move the percent. The pool itself is on the color list. A shorter clue for the current day is on the hint page.

What does the Colordle solver do?

You enter a color name you have already guessed. The solver lists other names whose hex values sit nearest to that guess in CIEDE2000. It does not look up today's hidden color.

Will the solver spoil Colordle answer today?

No. The ranking is relative to your guess only. The daily name is published separately on the answer today page.
